*It was this alternately-shot version that was seen by the majority of audiences throughout the world during the mid-1950s.   

Todd-AO 70mm prints of "Oklahoma! circulated throughout the 1960s and it was during this era that most cities first showed the film in its original form.  The Todd-AO version would not be seen again until an early-'80s re-issue by Samuel Goldwyn.  The Todd-AO 70mm/30fps version was first seen by home video audiences in the mid-'90s when 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment issued a remastered laserdisc.
