Make-up artist, Rick Baker, was honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The star-studded event happened on November 30, 2012 in front of the Guinness Book of World Records Museum in Hollywood, California. Guests included directors Guillermo del Toro, Barry Sonnenfeld, make-up artist Dick Smith ("The Exorcist"), Silvia Abascal, Veronica Baker and actor Andy Garcia.

Baker has been one the film industry's top make-up artists for years. His first major film was the 1976 remake of "King Kong." By 1981, he created the amazing man-to-werewolf effects in John Landis' "An American Werewolf In London." Work on that film, and with some campaigning by Baker and other make-up artists, got the Academy to create a Best Make-up category. Baker won the first Best Make-up Oscar in 1982 for "Werewolf."

The ageless Baker has continued stretching the boundaries of make-up effects and his most recent film, "Men In Black III," showcases his alien creatures.

We congratulate Rick for his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
