Twin Westminster Mall

Theatre Specifications
Chains: United Artists / Edwards
Opened: December 20, 1974
Closed: Late-1990s — Now demolished

The UA Twin sat in the parking lot of the Westminster Mall.  This theatre was built in the mid-1970s and was accompanied by a small four-screen theatre, also a UA, inside of the mall.

The Twin, like its sister theatre at the Cerritos Mall (in Los Angeles County), looked fairly small from the outside.  But the main auditorium was quite large and the screen was a decent size.  And true to the UA style at the time, the theatre’s interior was sparse and basic.

For a while during the early-to-mid 1980s, UA ran a few 70mm prints here.  The theatre was closed down in the 2000s and later demolished for a baby store.
