70mm & Wide Gauge: The Early Years

The following is a list of feature films photographed and/or exhibited in early, experimental wide gauge processes. The film gauge (width) varied from 56mm to 70mm depending on the process. The aspect ratio for the processes varied from 1.85:1 - 2.13:1. As for the sound, all of the formats had a conventional optical mono track except for Vitascope, which utilized Vitaphone audio discs.
