THE SCREENING ROOM

A year-by-year, film-by-film history of 70-millimeter wide gauge exhibition in Southern California

Compiled by Michael Coate and William Kallay

1957

There were no new first-run 70mm releases in 1957. “Raintree County” was originated in a wide gauge format (MGM Camera 65) but no 70mm release prints are believed to have been struck. “Around The World In Eighty Days” continued its run at the Carthay Circle.
